Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on 11th November 1966. She made her feature film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against glamour, nudity and thongs in her modelling career. When she was spotted by the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody is listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 promising actors of 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old at the time she was cast in the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. Another film from her early days played a tiny part in the film in a small role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she featured Mickey Rourke. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV version from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She played Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody returned to acting in 2003, playing a small performance as a character in her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. In 2010, Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Doody appeared on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014, she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018 she was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and was awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
