Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the at the time. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest to win the 200 meter at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, by beating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in her respective events.
